Sundown: Equinox is the opening tournament of the series each year held on a Saturday in September.
Equinox is designed as a preseason tournament, similar to preseason events in other sports, to allow advisors/coaches to evaluate their rosters, promote their programs, and recruit players from their respective schools.
Sundown: Voyager is an open, remote tournament hosted at a partner institution on a Saturday in October. The goal of Sundown: Voyager is to bring the Sundown competitive experience to schools in other parts of Arizona who may not be able to make it to a Sundown event hosted at Paradise Valley Community College. Voyager is a preseason tournament, similar to preseason events in other sports, that allows coaches to evaluate their rosters, promote their programs, and recrutie players from their respective schools.
Sundown: Solstice is the second event of each season in the series held on a Saturday in November.
This is an open tournament. All players in an Arizona high school are welcome to attend, including schools with Esports programs. Players without programs may register individually. Coaches may register their entire team.
Sundown: Gemini is the first event in the spring season and is held on a Saturday in February.

Sundown: North Star is the culminating event of each season. North Star is an invitational event, focusing on the top Smash Bros. Ultimate teams in Arizona. It is held on a Saturday in early April and serves as a lead-up to the AIA State Championship in late April.
Due to the nature of AIA competition in Smash (primarily online), often times, players have not had much (if any) exposure to face-to-face competition. This tournament gives coaches and players the opportunity to experience that level of competition.
North Star is an invitation-only tournament. Invitations are sent out in late March to top teams.
